Yields: Serves 4


  • 3 Chicken stock cubes
  • 1½ pints of boiling water
  • 3 tablespoons cornflour (mixed with cold water to make a paste)
  • ½ teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons mild curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1½ tablespoons oyster sauce

  • Instructions

    1. In a large jug, mix the chicken stock cubes with boiling water and stir until they have dissolved. 
    2. Add cornflour paste and stir until thick.
    3. Stir in oyster sauce and soy sauce.
    4. Add five spice powder, ground ginger and curry powder. Mix well.
    5. Season with salt & pepper to acquired taste.

    Serve With (optional)
